Feature Questions
Do you accept Medicaid?
At this time, Blue Ridge is a private-pay agency. We do not accept Medicaid or private insurance, but we’re happy to provide documentation if your long-term care insurance reimburses for home care services.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
No long-term commitment is required. Services can be adjusted, paused, or discontinued with a 2-week notice.
What guarantee can I receive that caregivers are background checked and certified?
We follow all Department of Health regulations for caregiver hiring — including background checks and certifications. Beyond that, our team goes the extra mile to ensure each caregiver aligns with our core values of security and high-quality care.
Do you require a down payment?
Yes — we require a 2-week deposit based on the care schedule we agree on. This secures your caregiver’s availability and helps us plan services responsibly.
It begins with a simple phone call or form submission. We’ll schedule a care assessment to better understand your family’s needs and recommend next steps.
Once the care assessment is complete, services can typically begin within 24 to 72 hours, depending on your care needs and caregiver availability.
That’s what our care assessment is for. We take time to understand your loved one’s health, routines, and goals to make sure our services fit where they’re most needed.
We accept ACH bank transfers, debit/credit cards, and Zelle. Please note that card and Zelle payments may include a small processing fee.
We do our best to match your loved one with a consistent caregiver from the beginning. If it’s not a great fit or someone becomes unavailable, we stay proactive to rematch you with someone compatible and well-informed on your care plan.
